OUR COMPANY HISTORY...

History: 1938-1972

John Edwards, Sr. started the company by traveling around the Inland Empire in 1938 seeking roofing, siding, and insulation. He traveled throughout the Okanogan region, mining districts, and farm communities.

His activities were interrupted by World War II from 1940 to 1945. Roofing material was not readily available during the war.

The company formally opened as Inland Roofing Co. in 1949. The name changed to Inland Roofing & Supply Co. in order to reflect our additional product lines of siding and windows.

The company prospered with 7,300 customers during this time period throughout the Inland Empire. We became a member of the Better Business Bureau in 1955 and John Edwards, Sr. was on the Board of Directors for many years.

History: 1972 - Present

In April 1972, Richard Edwards, son of the founder resigned from Boeing Airplane Co. and returned to Spokane to take over the family business.

An additional 12,000 customers have been added to our base during this time period.

Currently John Edwards, son of Richard, is posturing himself to take over the company when Richard retires.
