If we are removing roofing, every layer of roofing must be removed down to the plywood, shiplap or other solid base or down to the spaced-sheeted 1 x 4's. Roofing over the top of your existing roof Washington code may allow us to install one additional layer of roofing over your one existing layer provided it is a solid sheeting roofing deck underneath and the one layer on top is smooth enough for new roofing to be installed over the top. Re-Sheet If your home needs "re-sheeting"...Inland is the only roofing company around (that we know of) the uses 1/2 CDX 4-ply plywood...Not OSB board that swells and is outlawed in some parts of the country.
